New Schoolbox Webinar: Flipped Learning

By Ren Downing in General

Have you fallen for flipped learning?

The next Schoolbox Webinar is our most exciting one yet. We just held an in-person seminar on this topic at EdTech SA and it was so successful that we want to share our insights with the whole Schoolbox community.

Flipped Learning is an exciting pedagogical approach that utilises the capabilities of current information technology to flip the usual classroom practices. Using the features of Schoolbox, teachers can replace the dry, chalk-and-talk portion of the in-class lesson with learning activities that students can complete at their own pace. This frees up face-to-face lesson times for more of the dynamic, hands-on, minds-on, group-based activities that teachers do best.

This way of teaching can be amazingly powerful, but it can also be incredibly draining for teachers unless they know how to make it sustainable through the whole school year. The purpose of this webinar is to outline the basic concepts that can help you sustain your practice, and the specific tools that Schoolbox provides that will ensure you’re in it for the long haul.
