Set Up Clipboard Calendar Feeds

Clipboard calendar feeds display Clipboard events in Schoolbox calendars.

This setup is separate from the Clipboard Fixtures integration. Calendar feeds overlay events into the calendar but do not populate the Schoolbox Fixtures module.

Calendar feeds are available to all Schoolbox licences.

This setup displays a student's Clipboard events in their Schoolbox calendar.

This is commonly used for individual sessions, such as music lessons.

1. go to Administration > Calendar > Subscribe.
2. enable iCalendar events.
3. select Add another iCalendar events source.

• Label: name for this data source.
• URL: https://api.clipboard.app/sessions?sisId=[externalId]&format=ics
• Authorisation: your Clipboard token.

Select an event type to control how events appear and can be filtered.

Choose the relevant campuses and roles. Students see events in their own calendar. Parents view these through their student's calendar.

If you only want to show individual sessions, you can exclude team-based events from the calendar feed.

Use the following URL when adding the iCalendar events source:

https://api.clipboard.app/sessions?sisId=[externalId]&format=ics&excludeSessionsWithTeams=true

This is useful when team fixtures are already shown through another Clipboard source and you do not want duplicate calendar events.

Event types and labels help users understand and filter Clipboard events.

• use a clear label, such as Fixtures, Co-curricular, or Music lessons.
• assign a dedicated event type where possible.

This makes it easier to filter events in the calendar and display them in dashboard components.

After setup, confirm that events are visible to users.

• open a student calendar.
• check that the correct calendar source is selected.
• check that the relevant event type is enabled in calendar filters.

If events are not visible, check the calendar subscription, the Clipboard token, and the event data in Clipboard.
