Major Features

Rubrics Rebuilt

Rubrics are now more powerful than ever, taking your marking to the next level. This upgrade includes many requested features and maintains best practice structures. Here are a few of the new features.

• Now you can create rubric levels (column headings) to indicate overall performance in a particular column
• Create your descriptors in any order, with any point value or no value at all
• Re-sequence your criteria and your descriptor levels
• Create new criteria on the fly from within your rubric
• Rubrics are now independent of the final grade, allowing you to mark with any marking system in addition to the rubric.
• The rubric will automatically populate the mark, but if you want to override the rubric mark you may.

Once you have your perfect rubric built, you can now export the rubric and save it as a CSV. This can then be imported into your next assessment for fast rubric building.

User Provisioning System

In order to maintain your constantly evolving user base we have developed an automatic user provisioning system. In the past this process was entirely managed by our team of developers and changes required an update to your code. Now we have built a completely self managing provisioning system that will automatically connect to your SIS and provision accounts in Schoolbox based on the rules you create. The flexible condition and value mapping rule based system will enable you to automatically create, rollover and maintain all your user information. Read more about the User Provisioning System here.

Resource Booking Availability Report

The most requested feature for resource booking was the ability to see the availability of multiple resources together. This new report details the availability of resources for an entire category, allowing you to find the meeting room that is available when you want, without having to click through them all.

Box and Whiskers On Student Grade Card

One of the key challenges of continuous reporting is clearly communicating to parents and students what certain formative grades actually mean. In the past we used the class average with a line graph to show where the student was in terms of the class average. Alongside, teachers have been assisting by providing useful information in the comments box. We knew however, that without context the grade was just a number or a letter.

New Editor

The new editor has arrived and it brings with it all the features you have been asking for. We have kept the same basic layout so you should be familiar straight away and updated the functionality across the board to make it easier than ever to use.

Here are some of the highlights of the new editor.

• New embed dialog, allows inserting of images, audio and video from our file picker
• Automatically converts URLs into embedded media, just paste the URL and we will turn it into rich media object
• Emoticons :)
• Formula Builder

Also while you are working in your editor you may notice these small tweaks to help you out

• Editor will auto-grow to show all content
• Insert new line arrow, to help you add text at the top or bottom of elements
• Improved table resizing
• Right click context menu for editing items like tables
