Editor Templates are pre-designed content structures that you (as a Superuser or Design Moderator) can create for school staff to use in the Rich Text Editor throughout the system.
They are a way to provide a consistent layout and format for commonly used content, such as announcements, newsletters, or assessment instructions.
Editor Templates help you:
- save time by avoiding repetitive typing,
- ensure consistency in tone, structure, and formatting,
- improve clarity and communication across your school or team,
- reduce errors by keeping key information in a standard layout,
- reuse the template for any regular communication.
You can, as a school staff, use Editor Templates whenever you’re creating content that follows a similar structure or is sent regularly. They’re especially useful when you’re:
- preparing weekly newsletters or term updates,
- sending reminders or school announcements,
- communicating important details to students or parents,
- needing a consistent format for Learning Activities or instructions,
- maintaining a consistent page layout, particularly when using the Unit Planner.
