As a Superuser, you can set up the AI Image Generator separately for image and text creation, and turn each one on or off independently. This gives your school more control over how AI is used and allows school staff to generate both images and written content using Schoolbox’s AI tools.
Note: The AI features available in Schoolbox depend on your school’s subscription plan. To use any AI features, your school must have active integration with a supported AI provider (such as OpenAI or another service). To set up the AI Image Generator:
- Go to Administration > System Settings > AI Services.
This opens the AI Services page for you.
- In Text Generation, enter the details for:
- OpenAI Endpoint Provider - is the specific service or platform that Schoolbox connects to in order to use OpenAI’s tools.
- OpenAI Key - is a secret code (API key) that lets Schoolbox securely connect to OpenAI’s services.
- OpenAI Model - is the specific AI model from OpenAI that Schoolbox uses to generate text or images.

- When done, select Save to apply the changes.
This enables AI-generated text for your school.
- Next, in Image Generation, enter the details for:
- Image Generation Endpoint - is the web address used to connect with an external AI service (like OpenAI) to generate images.
- Image Generation API Key - is a secure code that lets Schoolbox connect to an external AI service (like OpenAI) to generate images.
- Image Generation Model - is the specific AI model that Schoolbox uses to create images from text descriptions.
- Image Output Quality - choose how sharp or detailed the image generated should be. You can set it to High, Medium, Low, or Auto, depending on your needs.
- Image Generation System Prompt - are the instructions that will guide the AI on what style, tone, or rules to follow when creating images. This ensures a coherent theme across the school that matches your school’s values, context, or educational goals.

- When done, select Save to apply the changes.
This enables AI-generated images for your school.
