Support Documents for Office 365 (OneDrive for Business) Integration

 

Unified Filesystem

We are constantly working on improving the underlying infrastructure that keeps Schoolbox running. As part of that work we have rewritten the entire file storage method underlying files in Schoolbox. This involved first unifying all files into a single storage system. We then added an abstraction layer to allow the use of alternative storage systems such as S3 and Azure. For us this means a much simpler code base and more flexible storage options for cloud based systems. For end users this should mean more efficient use of storage (de-duplication) and better file previewing options.
