1. Navigate to the Resources Page. This may be available in your top or side menu, or you access the page using the URL '/resource-booking/item'.
2. Select the 3-dot menu and then select 'Add Resource'.
3. Add a name for the resource.
4. Add a description if required.
5. Add a 'Room Code' if required.
6. Use the drop down arrow to select the category the resource will be associated with. Selecting the correct category is important, as categories are used to filter and organise all resources.
7, Add related resources if required. When booking a resource, users can also book any related resources at the same time. For example, if the resource was the School Hall, related resources may include AV Equipment and Chairs.
8. Add an image if required. This provides useful visual prompts to users booking the resources, ensuring they are booking the correct resource, space or item.
9. Select the level of moderation.
- Open: All staff can book the resource, and the booking is automatically approved.
- Managed: Only moderators can book the resource.
- Moderated: All staff can request to book the resource. Booking then needs to be approved by a moderator.
10. If you selected 'Managed' or 'Moderated', use the search to find the names of staff who will moderate the resource.
11. Add the 'Minimum Lead Time', 'Minimum Reservation Time' and the 'Maximum Reservation Time'.
- Minimum Lead Time - If this is set, somebody reserving this time must give this period of notice before their reservation.
- Minimum Reservation Time - If this is set, this item must be reserved for at least this period of time.
- Maximum Reservation Time - If this is set, this item must be reserved for longer than this period of time.
12. Toggle 'Restrict bookings to current term', if required.
13. Select 'Create'.
