1. To add the component to your page, select the '+' button at the top of your page.

2. Select the 'Multimedia' tab.

4. Drag and drop the component to the desired location.

Using the Image Slideshow Component

1. Select 'Post an image' or drag and drop an images onto the component.

Alternatively, if the component is already populated, click 'Select an image' or drag and drop another image into the component.

2.  If you select an image, you will need to add a 'Title'.

3. Attach the image file by dragging it onto the drop zone or clicking to locate the file.

NOTE: The number of images you can display in a slideshow depends on what the Superuser has set for your school. The maximum limit is up to 20 images in a slideshow. 

4. Add a description, if required. You can add a link to this field, if you wish for the image to be a clickable link.

5. Set visibility of the file. If set to hidden, only users with Write access to the page will be able to see the file.

6. Select 'Post File'.

1. To view and change the settings in the Image component, you first need to unlock your page.

2. Select the Settings cog.

The Image Gallery component settings allow you to:

  • Choose whether you would like captions on or off. The captions are the title you've given to the image when you posted it.
  • Collapse the component.
  • Change the heading of the component.
  • Select the ratio of your images in the slideshow.
  • Select whether you would like a random start.
  • Select an alternative source for your blog component.
  • Adjust the timing between images.

Removing the Image Slideshow component

To remove the component from your homepage, unlock your page, and select the 'X' at the top-right of the components header.

NOTE: Removing the component will not remove the images themselves. Posted images will still be accessible through the Resources tab. If you want to delete an image you will need to navigate to the resource browser, locate the image, and then delete it.

Using Alternative Sourcing to Display Multiple Image Slideshow Components

The 'Image Slideshow' component will automatically display any images available directly under the homepage that you add the component to. It is possible to display multiple slideshows, containing different images. 

You can do this by setting up folders in the Resource Browser that contain the images.

1. Navigate to the 'Resources' tab in the top menu.

2. Locate the folder that needs to contain your new image folder, then select the folder so that it is highlighted.

3. Once your desired folder is highlighted, you will be able to select 'Add Folder' from the bottom menu on the page.

4. Give your folder a name and select 'No Homepage' from the 'Homepage Template' menu.

5. Select 'Create Folder'. You will then be returned to the Resource Browser.

6. Select the folder you just created, where your images will now be stored, so that it is highlighted.

7. Select 'Post File' or drag and Drop images on the drop zone. If you choose to select 'Post File', fill in the required details and select 'Post File' at the bottom of the page.

Now that you have stored your images in another folder, return to the 'Image Slideshow' component on your page.

1. To view and change the settings in the Image component, you first need to unlock your page.

2. Select the Settings cog.

3. Select the 'Browse' button under 'Source'.

4. Locate the folder where you have stored the image in Resource Browser, then select 'Use this folder'.

5. Select 'Update'. The images you have stored in that folder, and only that folder, will now appear in the Image Slideshow.
