The Folders component is a 'placeholder' for homepages and folders Schoolbox. Folders can be displayed in either a list or grid view. By default, when you first add the folders component to a homepage, it will display any folders or homepages that sit directly beneath the homepage the component has been added to.

1. To add the component to your page, select the '+' button at the top of your page.
2. Select the 'Resources' tab.
3. Drag and drop the component to the desired location

1. Navigate to the Folders component.
2. Select 'Add a folder or page' if there is no content.
Alternatively, if there is already content, select 'ADD FOLDER'.
3. Add your 'Folder Name'.
4. Select a 'Homepage Template'. Leaving this as 'No Homepage' will create a folder only.
5. Click or drag and drop to add a 'Cover Image' if required.
6. Set the folder 'Access Permissions'. If you choose 'Inherit permissions', you will retain the permissions from the above folder. If you wish to change the permissions, untick 'Inherit permissions' and choose the appropriate permissions level for the folder.
7. Add 'Year Levels' if required.
8. Add 'Curriculum Codes' if required.
9. Select 'Create Folder'.

You can display folders from another location in Schoolbox or have multiple folders components on one page, if you use Alternative Source Linking.
1. Unlock your page.
2. Select the settings cog in the component header.
3. Select 'Browse'.
3. Navigate to the location of the folders you wish to include.
4. Select 'Use this Folder'.

To remove the component from your homepage, unlock your page, and select the 'X' at the top-right of the components header.
NOTE: Removing the component will not remove the content of the folders. If you re-add the folders component later, all folders will still be visible. To delete a folder, navigate to the Resource Browser, select your folder and then select 'Delete'.
