The Embed Learning Tool Component allows users access to 3rd party tools without the need for significant extra set-up or configuration.  Using LTI (Learning Tool Interoperability) compliant tools/ platforms embedded on a page provides seamless access for users to other tools. By default, Schoolbox provides access to Khan Academy, Quizlet, TEDEd, Vimeo and YouTube.  A school can add additional LTI providers for their teachers and students should they wish to. This can be done in the Administration Area.  Each LTI provider will have varying degrees of functionality within Schoolbox so it may be necessary to do further research into the features of the LTI you are wanting to use. We suggest testing on your staging environment initially.

1. Navigate to Admin > LMS.

2. Select the 'LTI Providers' tab.

3. To add a provider select '+'.

4. Enter the details of the LTI. Details relating to the LTI can be found by searching for the provider in your browser.

NOTE: Each learning tool might be using ‘Basic Launch’ or ‘Picker’ as the LTI Request Type. If you find the tool does not work, try choosing the other request type.
5. Select 'Create Provider'.

1. To add the component to your page, select the '+' button at the top of your page.

2. Select the 'Multimedia' tab.

3. Drag and drop the 'Embed Learning Tool' component to the desired location.

View and Edit current LTI providers

1. Navigate to Admin > LMS > LTI Providers.

This area will provide you with a list of your current LTI providers.

2. Select the arrow icon to show the details of the provider and edit the settings.

3. Select 'Update Provider' if you edit any details.

4. Select the bin icon to delete the provider.
