You can now view a Rubric Markbook, which displays students achievements against the rubrics you’ve used. Using the filters provided, you can view results for a specific capability or indicator, across multiple assessments, in one location! This will be particularly helpful when you want a quick snapshot of student progress in a specific area, or when you need to form an overall mark for your end of semester reports!

News Comments

Schoolbox News is the hub of our communications and it’s got a great new feature. People can comment on a News item so it can become the focus point of a discussion rather than simply an announcement. Superusers have the ability to turn on or off comments for the whole school. If toggled to on, authors and news moderators have full control over the comments that are made with the ability to turn on or off the comment function and delete any comment at any time. Notifications will be sent to the author and anyone who has participated in the comments for the article, so everyone will be kept up to date as the discussion progresses.

Homepage News Compact Mode

We’ve heard your voices and returned the default of the homepage news component to display a full article on your page. But if you now love compact mode and find it very useful to save space, you can choose to enable compact mode on your pages.

Synergetic DocMan integration can now be filtered to specific classifications via the URL. This will allow you to create custom buttons for specific types of documents in DocMan.

To filter the classifications, append a url parameter (?classification=MYCLASSIFICATION).

Note: You can only request classifications that have been permitted in the admin system.

Pastoral notifications will now include the severity and pastoral type. In addition to this, authors of pastoral records will now receive a notification if a comment is added to a record they created.

Synergetic student contact data has been adjusted to more closely reflect Synergetic and respect some additional flags.  Previously, if a relationship was added to the admin filter, those people could see a student. Now only people listed as contacts will see a student.  This will prevent issues involving relatives seeing children from another family, even though they were not listed as a student contact. In addition to this, we added support for the primary contact flag.  If this is set, only one of the parents will be connected, not the spouse also.

• Staff can email parents, students, and housemasters together from class list.

• While Schoolbox is being updated, a system maintenance page will display to prevent loss of data during the upgrades. The page will automatically reload when Schoolbox is back online.

• Rewrote the Synergetic attendance marking screen for increased performance with large amounts of reason types
